Ahead of kick-off Green appeared as a pundit before heading to the commentary booth.
His disfigured finger was visible to viewers as he clutched a microphone on screen.
Green’s little finger on his right hand was left permanently wonky after being dislocated and broken multiple times during his career.
Fans took to social media after spotting the finger, with one writing: “What the hell is going on with Rob Green’s finger?!”
Another added: “Rob Green’s wonky finger is a thing of beauty.”
A third supporter also commented: “Rob Green’s finger never fails to amaze me. What goalkeepers go through in professional football is mad.”
The pundit has previously lifted the lid on his finger injury, which required a special glove.
