CHELSEA have released an updated list of squad numbers ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.

And some fans are convinced that two specific numbers have been left free for the potential arrival of Moises Caicedo.

Caicedo, 21, has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea have already had three bids – with the latest totalling £80million – rejected by Brighton.

But the midfielder is now attempting to force a move away from the Amex Stadium.

Caicedo failed to make an appearance at training on Monday after missing Brighton’s final pre-season match against Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

Chelsea are said to be lining up a fourth bid in an attempt to finally complete a deal.

And eagle-eyed fans have noticed that the Blues kept squad numbers four and 25 available.

Some supporters are convinced that the two numbers have been made available on purpose due to Caicedo.

One person tweeted: “Four is made free for Caicedo I assume!”

Another added: “Nice… Guess the No.4 is reserved for Caicedo.”

A third wrote: “Caicedo 25 or four.”

While a fourth fan claimed: “I’m getting Enzo #8 or Caicedo #4.”

Defensive midfielders, like Caicedo, are generally handed the No.4 shirt when they join a team.

The No.25 shirt is also synonymous with the Ecuador international as it is the number he wears for Brighton.

Chelsea have already signed Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Robert Sanchez and Lesley Ugochukwu this summer, which has cost them in the region of £171m.
