JACK WILSHERE had a day to forget as he saw his Arsenal Under-18 team thrashed 7-1 by Liverpool.
Arsenal were in action against the Reds in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup.

However, things soon started to unravel, with Liverpool star Lewis Koumas netting after just ten minutes.
Wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri, 16, hit back for the visitors five minutes later before another goal from Koumas restored Liverpool’s lead.
Four minutes later the home side gave themselves a two-goal cushion through Trent Kone-Doherty.
Kone-Doherty, 17, then added his second goal of the game after 52 minutes, before a six-minute brace from 18-year-old Jayden Danns made the score 6-1.
Koumas, 18, completed his hat-trick with two minutes of regulation time left to cap off a wonderful result for Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s team to earn them a spot in the fifth round.
Meanwhile, Wilshere – who was appointed Arsenal U18 boss in July 2022 – will be reeling off the result as he looks to get the young Gunners back to winning ways when they face Leicester on Saturday.
They currently sit fourth in the U18 Premier League South, six points behind league leaders Tottenham.

Reacting to the result on X, formerly known as Twitter, one Arsenal fan said: “That’s a wild way to go out. Seeeeevvveeennn.”
A second joked: “Wilshere out lol.”
A third said: “I don’t want to hear Jack Wilshere shouts ever again.”
Another said: “Not a good day at the office for the youngsters.”
Liverpool will now face one of Swansea or Fulham in the next round.
Wilshere, 32, guided Arsenal U18 to the FA Youth Cup final last season before they were beaten 5-1 by West Ham.
The ex-midfielder was among the candidates interviewed for the managerial job at Major League Soccer franchise Colorado Rapids in October.
Arsenal last won the FA Youth Cup in 2009, while it was still a two-legged format, with a 6-2 win over Liverpool.
Former England international Wilshere was part of that cup winning team, along with Francis Coquelin, Emmanuel Frimpong, Luke Ayling, Kyle Bartley and Henri Lansbury.
