CYCLING fans believe Orla Chennaoui’s outfits were the “icing on the cake” as she wowed with her changes of gear during the Tour de France.

The presenter’s fashion was rated the gowning glory of Eurosport’s “fantastic” cycling coverage on The Breakaway show.

“Loving the bling, Orla. Disco Queen,” said one viewer of the former all-Ireland triple jump champion.

The ex-Sky Sports broadcaster, 43, will add TNT’s Premiership rugby coverage to her sporting bow this coming season.

But it was her switching of fashion rather than sports that added glitter to her talents behind the microphone – as she eased from sparkly trousersuit to off-the-shoulder gown.

One fan wrote: “It’s been said by everyone else, the Breakaway is fantastic, the commentary is exciting and your outfits are the icing on the cake.”

Orla will don more scrummy outfits when the rugby union campaign kicks off in October.

But followers hope she’ll go ‘bike to the future’ for her new role – by sticking with the style of her cycling presenting.
