Haaland was watching on from home after he was handed yet another injury blow after being absent from the City squad since December 6.

But he still seemed to enjoy himself nonetheless as he shared his emotions to his Instagram story.

The 23-year-old bagsman posted a passionate selfie of himself celebrating alongside the caption: “Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah”.

And then joked that he needed a to take a shot after the stress of the treble winner’s late comeback.

However fans couldn’t help but laugh at the “shot” he took after Haaland posted a picture of a glass of milk.

Many took to social media to poke fun at the goal machine who has always been known to be a character off the pitch.

One wrote: “He’s a strange one isn’t he…”

While another added: “Grown man taking milk shots should be criminal.”

A third chimed in saying: “That’s totally insane.”

And a fourth simply wrote: “Strange man.”

City seem to be doing just fine without their star striker as their win over the Magpies lifts them in to second place in the Premier League table.

But they did need to call upon Kevin De Bruyne for the first time since his long term injury that has seen him miss most of this season.

De Bruyne came off the bench while City were trailing 2-1 and provided the magic needed to earn his side all three point.

He found the back of the net just five minutes after being subbed on before providing the assist for Oscar Bobb’s late winner too.
