FANS have been left stunned after finding out that CAR jiu-jitsu is an actual sport.
The bonkers idea was created by YouTuber Vik Mikheev – a judo and BJJ black belt – during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Car jiu-jitsu is exactly as it sounds with bouts starting in the front seat of the motor with seatbelts fastened until the first bell sounds.
Competitors battle it out over two three-minute rounds and swapping driver and passenger seats in between.
Points are earned for positional dominance just like in regular jiu-jitsu bouts with submissions the preferred method of victory.
And anything in the car, including a seatbelt, can be used as an advantage.
The sport is huge in Russia, leaving fans in disbelief as one said: “Very similar to putting a toddler in their car seat.”
Another added: “This seems interesting.”
One joked: “Cartial Arts.”
Explaining his invention, Mikheev told RollingTimes Mag: “In 2020, I came up with the idea of doing competitive grappling in vehicles.

“Since October of 2020, I and my friends run small tournaments of Car Jitsu to study the aspects of jiu-jitsu application in such a confined space.”
There have been several other wild MMA bouts staged in Russia over the years.
Some include cross-gender matches, two-on-one showdowns and even teams of fighters going at it.
