Football fans fume after spotting they’ll be forced to choose between epic Arsenal and Man City Champions League clashes

FOOTY FANS called it an “absolute scandal” to have both Arsenal and Manchester City’s Champions League quarter-final clashes on at the same time.

The Gunners edged past Porto on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate score as David Raya proved to be the shoot-out hero.

That secured their place in the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years but supporters were raging when a Chelsea legend picked them out with Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, holders City serenely sailed into the last-eight by defeating Man Utd’s conquerors Copenhagen 6-2 on aggregate.

And, for the third successive year, they will meet Real Madrid in the knockout stages.

Arsenal host Bayern at Emirates Stadium, with no away fans allowed, in the first leg while City head to Spain.

Now Uefa have confirmed the date and timings for their full quarter-final line-up – and it has left English armchair fans fuming.

Arsenal and City’s first legs will take place at 8pm on Tuesday 9 April, while the crucial return matches will be on Wednesday 17 April.

One fan reacted to the news by posting: “Who the hell organise these schedules man.

“I just checked and the Madrid/City and the Arsenal/Bayern matches are at the same time.”

Another asked: “Uefa are so dumb how do you schedule Bayern-Arsenal and City-Real on the same time?”

A third wrote: “Ffs so I can’t even watch Arsenal vs Bayern because they decided to put it at the same time as city.”

Another raged: “Uefa seriously needs to change the timings!”

A fourth asked: “Which genius decided to put Bayern Arsenal and City Madrid game at same time???”

While a fifth blasted: “Absolute scandal they’ve put Arsenal V Bayern & Madrid V City on the same night.”
