However, West Ham and Wolves will face stern competition from Napoli.

The Serie A champions see the centre-back as a quality replacement for former Manchester United target Kim Min-jae, who left for Bayern Munich.

According to LondonWorld, Arsenal stand to benefit from the Greece international’s potential exit.

That is because Mikel Arteta’s side inserted a sell-on clause after selling him to Stuttgart last year.

Mavropanos has also been linked with Newcastle, who are looking for a right-footed centre-back this summer.

However, the Magpies currently have other options ahead of the Greek star.

The 25-year-old joined the Gunners following a £2million move in 2018 after some stellar performances at Pas Giannina.

However, the Greek defender only managed eight senior appearances with the North Londoners during his four-year tenure at the Emirates.

That led to two loan stints in Germany as he played for Nurnberg and Stuttgart, who signed him on a permanent basis in 2022.

Mavropanos flourished in the Bundesliga as he made 34 appearances across all competitions last season.

He has also been established as a starting centre-back for Greece under manager Gus Poyet and has formed a strong pairing with AZ Alkmaar’s Pantelis Chatzidiakos.

Mavropanos has amassed a total of eight goals and two assists in 89 appearances for Stuttgart since his arrival last year.

He also counts 19 caps for Greece, with Poyet rating him among his key players as the national team pushes for qualification to Euro 2024.
