FORMER Premier League star Kyle Bartley is wanted by Luton, according to reports.
The Hatters sit 18th in the Premier League and are looking to bolster their squad ahead of a fight to avoid relegation.
Luton are desperate to sign a centre-back as they are without captain Tom Lockyer after he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch against Bournemouth on December 16.
West Brom star Bartley, 32, is a transfer target for Rob Edwards’ side, claim The Telegraph.
The experienced defender has just six months left on his contract at the Hawthorns and could be available for a bargain price.
He has played 25 times this season and West Brom will not want to lose him as they are fifth in the Championship.
Bartley came through the academy at Arsenal, winning the Youth Cup in 2009.
He then made his first and only senior Gunners appearance later that year.
Bartley has gone on to play for Sheffield United, Rangers, Swansea, Birmingham, Leeds and then West Brom.
Luton have had plenty of success when signing experienced players as both Andros Townsend and Ross Barkley have impressed at Kenilworth Road.

Meanwhile, Edwards has hinted at signings this January, saying: “If we stay as we are I’ll genuinely be happy.
“But I wouldn’t be surprised to see one or two little bits of change.”
