He struggled at Euro 2024 despite the Dutch reaching the semi-finals.
And he is still unemployed 10 days before the transfer window slams shut for most European clubs.
The Instagram clip shows Depay doing hill sprints while a trainer holds a resistance band around his waist and working with a medicine ball.
But fans were not impressed in the replies.
One wrote: “Well that euro display didn’t help his case at all. Should be on a ball v running.”
Another added: “I’d say he’s massively overrated but I guess there’s a reason why he’s without a club. Never, ever rated him. Guy offers nothing.”
A third posted: “On his euros display, he might be waiting around for a while.”
During the Euros, Wayne Rooney revealed he once gave Depay a “talking to” after he turned up to a game in a COWBOY HAT.

The United legend was covering the Netherlands’ clash against France when he remembered the moment.
They clashed as the Dutchman once arrived at a reserve match driving a Rolls Royce and flashy headgear.
Rooney was not pleased by the forward’s appearance and confronted him about it.
Speaking on the BBC, he said: “Firstly, you could never knock his work rate.
“In training, he worked really hard every single day in order to prove himself.
“It was made more of a few things off the pitch I have spoken about.
“I was at a reserve game once being a bit lowkey, and he turned up in a Rolls Royce and a cowboy hat.
“I had to speak to him, so that was Memphis.”
Depay has spoken about his time in Manchester and claimed he “earned” his success.
Speaking in a documentary tracking him and his life, the 30-year-old winger said: “My whole life is upside down.
“They talk about the headlines in papers, me wearing a hat and all the f***ing s***.
“They say, in Manchester I flopped. But let’s go, man. I drive a Rolls Royce, this is my life.
“I was not given anything, I have earned it all with both feet. I am not good, I am not bad. Just don’t forget to check my past, check my scars.
“I am a lion, I am a king. I have fashion in my blood and only big dreams. I don’t care what people think about me.
“It is my life and if I am the black sheep, so it is. I do what I want anyway.”
Why De Ligt is the perfect Man Utd signing
By Lee Scott
One of Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag’s biggest headaches has been fixing their leaky defence.
Despite still not being anywhere near his peak years De Ligt has built considerable experience so far in his career with Ajax, Juventus and Bayern Munich and he has 45 caps at senior level for the Dutch national team.
While he is not necessarily a highly modern ball playing type of defensive player he is a player with the defensive strengths and instincts to help shore up a United defence that was, at best, leaky last season.
He has a great ability to read the game which was one of the biggest issues that we saw from the United defensive unit last season.
De Ligt is also a master in one-on-one situations, who shows strength and intensity in his duels.
The Dutch star does a good job in keeping things simple and tends to make good decisions in possession.
The pursuit of Matthijs de Ligt makes perfect sense for United and for Ten Hag as a young defender who is still to reach his peak.
He has considerable experience at a high level and he understands the game model and system of play of the manager.
