He made 46 appearances for the South Coast side, scoring only six goals.
After falling out of favour, he was loaned out multiple times to clubs such as Hoffenheim and FC Cincinnati.

Locadia has now been on a journey in which he has signed for Persian side Persepolis, Chinese outfit Cangzhou Mighty Lions and SD Amorebieta in Spain.
Now he has landed his fifth club since leaving England by joining Spanish third-tier side CF Intercity.
Intercity shot to fame in January 2023 as they took on Barcelona in the Copa del Rey.
The minnows forced the tie into extra time as Oriol Soldevila netted a second-half hat-trick.

Barcelona were spared their blushes as recent Brighton loanee Ansu Fati scored in the 103rd minute to win the match 4-3.
The club was only formed in 2017 and was the first Spanish team to be listed on the stock market.
Locadia will link up with his new team-mates on Monday and will be available to manager Alejandro Sandroni from then on.
Meanwhile, Brighton have also let former wonderkid Kacper Kozlowski leave the club.
The 20-year-old midfielder has left the Seagulls to sign for Turkish side Gaziantep FK for an undisclosed fee.
