On Sunday, Atletico took on Barcelona in LaLiga at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Goals from Felix, Robert Lewandowski and Fermin Lopez saw Xavi‘s side ran out 3-0 winners before Nahuel Molina was sent off in injury time for the hosts.

However, following Felix’s 38th-minute opener, TV cameras from Gol Play appeared to catch the Portuguese making a crude gesture.

It came as he was surrounded by Barca team-mates while celebrating in a huddle.

The 24-year-old then appeared to put his hand on his crotch area before rubbing it.

Felix had received a hostile reception from the home fans in the ground.

Chants against him could be heard before the game had even started, with a T-Shirt of his also being burned next to a his plaque outside the stadium.

Felix had the last laugh on the pitch, with Barcelona firming up their spot in second ahead of Girona but still eight points behind league leaders Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Diego Simeone‘s Atletico remain a point outside of the top four behind Athletic Bilbao.

Simeone and Felix fell out last season which prompted the former Benfica star’s loan transfer to Chelsea.

After the game on Sunday, Felix told ESPN: “Atlético fans do not know the things that happened here during the time I’ve been here.

“The fans don’t know what happened here inside, I understand them but I shouldn’t be seen as the bad guy.

“Even my relationship with Atléti players is very good.”

Felix joined Atletico for a club record £113million in 2019.

He has gone on to score 34 goals in 131 games since then.

This season he has scored eight times in 34 games for Barcelona.
