CHARLIE MCNEILL scored just 27 seconds into his debut at Sheffield Wednesday.
The striker left Manchester United in the summer in a deal to join the Championship side.
McNeill, 20, started his career with the Red Devils and even made his first appearance alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
He has now got off to the perfect start at Hillsborough as he bagged a brace on his debut.
The youngster grabbed his first goal just 27 seconds after the Carabao Cup clash against Hull City kicked off.
It was a brilliant finish to beat goalkeeper Anthony Racioppi with the ball deflecting in off the bar.
For his second goal, he was able to pounce on a sloppy touch from the stopper and slot home into an empty net.
McNeil’s goals were enough to give the Owls victory and advance into the next round of the cup.
They will now face Grimsby Town in the second round on August 27.
Manager Danny Rohl was full of praise for the former Red Devil after the match.

He said: “I’ve seen a lot of good things from him.
“I saw his quality – his touches between the lines – and he did very well against the ball.
“He was clinical and it was fantastic to see, but it’s about working hard as we have a lot of young players at the club.”
McNeill also spoke after the game as he expressed his joy for the perfect start to his life in Yorkshire.
He added: “Delighted to get two goals is what dreams are made of.
“I think it has been good to be fair, all the lads have helped me settle in well.
“I am really enjoying it. I have been here five or six weeks and I have settled in really well.
“There is a lot of high pressing, there is not a minutes rest, it is 110 per cent for the whole game.”
