A SELECTION of Manchester United stars are reportedly concerned about Erik ten Hag’s gruelling training regime.

It is believed that the Dutchman’s demands are proving to be too much for some of the club’s players.

Man United have been hit by 47 different injuries and illness this campaign.

These issues have caused players to miss at least one game at a time.

For the Manchester Derby, the Red Devils were without nine first-team players as they lost 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

Only Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and Alejandro Ganracho have avoided injuries out of the squad’s outfield players.

The Manchester Evening News have reported that a “minority” of the playing staff are “concerned”.

It is claimed that their worries are about Ten Hag’s running demands that he puts on his players.

It is further suggested that they believe that it has contributed to the club’s difficult season on the pitch.

In Sunday’s defeat, both Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans were both withdrawn from the action.

Ten Hag has admitted that the changes were enforced after the match.

He said: “I had to take them both off.

“They fought to be part of this game but after 60 or 70 minutes we had to take them off and sub them.

“We’re working on players returning and I think players will return in the coming weeks, especially after the international break.

“Hopefully Jonny Evans and Marcus Rashford are not too bad, that they recover and we can use them in the next game against Everton.”
