WILSON ODOBERT and Sander Berge fired Burnley to their third Premier League win of the season.
French 19-year-old Odobert broke the deadlock with a 25-yard stunner on 47 minutes before assisting Berge who wrapped things up on 66 minutes with his first top-flight goal.
Burnley earned themselves a third Premier League win of the season[/caption] Fulham were left frustrated as they were sunk at home[/caption]It was the perfect Chrimbo present for the boisterous away end, packed with a lifesize snowman and plenty of claret and blue Santas who had made the near 500 mile round trip.
Vincent Kompany’s side were crying out for a win after slipping into rockbottom following Sheffield United’s draw with Aston Villa on Friday but have now moved up a place.
Rebecca Welch made history this afternoon by becoming the first-ever female to referee a Premier League match and neither side could grumble about her officiating.
Fulham only have themselves to blame for wasting their dominance while Burnley made the most of only their two attempts on target.
The heroics of James Trafford kept Burnley in it early on.
The England U21 shot-stopper stretched to tip out a Harry Wilson effort and moments later denied Joao Palhinha before Alex Iwobi drilled into the side netting.
Hugh Grant, the star of the Christmas hit film, Love Actually, was in the house and so was owner Shahid Khan.
Grant plays the nation’s new Prime Minister of England in the Chrimbo rom com but was unable to provide much festive cheer to his beloved Fulham.

Wilson Odobert opened the scoring with a stunning goal[/caption]Andreas Pereira came close with a dipping and curling free-kick but Trafford would have probably had it covered anyway.
Fulham fans treated Welch to her first rendition of “you don’t know what you’re doing” when she booked Calvin Bassey after he lightly clipped Josh Brownhill with his arm in the box.
Antonee Robinson and Alex Iwobi then combined with a pretty passing sequence but Rodrigo Muniz was snaffled up before he could get on the end of it.
Fulham were back again, Iwobi lashed an effort which ricocheted off Zeik Amdouni’s arm as he twisted in midair, and Welch seemed right to wave away the handball shouts.
A frantic pinball display in the box ensued before Muniz wrapped up the chaos with a wild bicycle kick which was well over.
Vincent Kompany’s side emerged from the restart with swagger and made the most of their first shot on target.
Odobert linked up with Lyle Foster before lashing a peach of a long-range screamer beyond Bernd Leno to leave Craven Cottage stunned.
Odobert and co provided the away end with knee slides to get the party started.
The TV cameras zoomed in on Jimmy Anderson who was cheering on his beloved Burnley and looking like he enjoyed it far more than removing an Aussie off-stump.
Burnley hit back again with Odebert teeing up Berge, who waltzed beyond Fulham shirts as they shirked their defensive duties, to drill a low drive past Leno outside of the box.
