The Cottagers boss also revealed the 35-year-old, who delayed his decision to re-sign last summer, snubbed an offer from the Middle East a year ago.
Ahead of tomorrow’s visit by Liverpool Silva said: “Last season he had an offer from either Saudi or Dubai, we know that.
“It is up to him to decide what is best for his future and his family.
“From my side I am going to do my maximum to keep him with us.
“I have many conversations with Willian about everything, not just his contract.
“He is a special player, I have a strong relationship with him, a special one.
“Everything is so clear between me and him. The player wants to wait until the end of the season.”
