GALATASARAY ultras went wild with joy as Wilfried Zaha posed with fans of his new club after jetting in to clinch a surprise move.

The Crystal Palace legend says he “can’t wait” to join the Turkish giants.

Zaha, 30, was linked with PSG, Napoli, Fenerbahce and Lazio, having rejected the Eagles’ highest-ever contract offer.

Instead he donned a Galatasaray scarf given him by fans after he arrived in Istanbul on Sunday evening.

The Ivory Coast hero was also snapped signing club shirts on a table as his imminent signing whipped fans up into a frenzy.

Galatasaray earlier posted an upbeat clip on Twitter as Zaha flew over.

The former Manchester United man is heard on the video saying: “Hello Gala fans, just want to say I’m on my way. Can’t wait to see you soon.”

Galatasaray hope Zaha will help them progress from the Champions League qualification stages to this season’s main tournament.

club statement on Sunday read: “Official negotiations have started with the football player regarding the transfer of professional football player Dazet Wilfried Armel Zaha to our club.”

Palace were reportedly prepared to pay Zaha £200,000 a week for four years – a record deal for the Londoners.

But he’s long been keen to play in the Champions League.

And another lure is a likely starring role for Galatasaray, rather than risking a bit-part role at a “bigger” European club, especially as he struggled in his Old Trafford stint from 2013-2015.
