Game of Thrones strongman looks unrecognisable and ‘ages 15 years’ as he shows off bald head and new facial hair

FANS reckon Hafthor Bjornsson has slipped and snipped down the superhero rankings – after shaving off his hair.

The former World’s Strongest Man and Game of Thrones actor “went from Thor to Captain Underpants” in the eyes of one shocked follower.

And far from raving over his shaving, many of Bjornsson‘s 4.3million Instagram admirers gave his new look the chop.

One responded: “That has aged you 15 years.”

Another claimed: “I wish there was a way for me to have not seen this.”

A third suggested “This is cursed” and a fourth fan pleaded: “Thor man, you’ve gotta stop this.”

Bjornsson, aka Thor or The Mountain, unveiled his dramatic razoring to the world in a somewhat understated manner

The ex-basketball star, who also tried boxing, shared a grinning head-and-shoulders selfie with just one accompanying word: “Moustache.”

That could be a fun distraction technique – to switch attention from his shaved head.

But it’s more likely to be a reference to the elimination of his famously-bushy beard.

And the Icelandic hero did get some backing for his dramatic change in appearance, including his more minimalist facial furniture.

One fan pronounced Bjornsson the “best looking 200kg beardless man alive”.

Maybe such a glowing verdict will help the 36-year-old stay positive after a scary accident in the gym.

Bjornsson dropped a 200kg weight on his back while attempting an overhead press.

He made light of the heavy weight problem by posting a clip of the mishap and insisting: “No weights were injured in the making of this video.”

But as fans quickly fully voiced their concerns, he returned to add: “I’m thankfully fine! Thanks for all the messages.”
