The New Zealander shared a picture of herself that revealed that she had facial injuries from the fall.

Robinson, 22, had a swollen lip as she “scratched” her face “pretty good”.

She showed off the injury on her Instagram story and joked that her lip was a result of “natural botox“.

However, the blow did not stop her from competing as she was back at the start of the Super-G on Friday.

The event is alpine skiing and was won by Austrian skier Cornelia Hutter.

Robinson finished in a disappointing 25th place as she lost time in the technical section of the race.

Last month she enjoyed better success at the FIS Giant Slalom World Cup, taking home a silver medal.

The skier parted company with her old coach, Chris Knight, last year which helped her get back to her best.

Robinson is now being trained by Kiwi coach Nils Coberger and 2010 Olympian Tim Cafe.

She has hailed their impact and compared them to father figures.

She said: “I think it actually was kind of for the best.

“My old coaches wanted to do other stuff and we’d been together for a long time, so it was like a natural split.

“It’s been really great. They’re like my two stand-in dads, I suppose.

“I’ve been working with Tim since I was 10 years old — he coached me at my first Olympic Games and Nils has always been the boys’ coach.

“It’s a bit of a full circle moment but it feels good to be back with the OGs.”
