Giggs’ brother Rhodri then tweeted this in an apparent defence of the Man Utd icon

Despite any animosity the pair may have shared over the years, Rhodri, 46, seemed to defend his older brother after an Arsenal fan compared him with Bukayo Saka.

The Gunners fan account wrote: “Bukayo Saka has already beaten Ryan Giggs’ best ever Premier League season with ten games to spare.

“Premier League legend?”

The post was referring to Saka having scored 16 goals and laid on 13 assists in all competitions this season – numbers that Giggs never reached.

Rhodri subsequently quoted-tweeted the post, including a graphic featuring all his brother’s trophies.

Ryan won a staggering 13 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues, four FA Cups, four League Cups, a Uefa Supercup, Intercontinental Cup and Club World Cup during his incredible Man Utd career – while Saka has so far only won the FA Cup.

Rhodri captioned the image: “Good luck Bukayo.”

He subsequently tweeted a tongue-in-cheek gif of a man with a fishing rod, although it wasn’t clear if he was actually encouraging the young England ace to beat his brother’s record.

Then he followed up by reposting a Man Utd fan’s tweet, which read: “Man just stating facts. Saka wont get near that level of trophies.”

Ryan recently landed a new job, two years after leaving his post as Wales boss.

He has been appointed as director of football at League Two Salford City.

He co-owns the club alongside his Class of 92 pals including David Beckham and Paul Scholes.
