Grandmother Maureen, 85, dubbed ‘Raymond Nan Barneveld’ as she goes viral for nailing Boxing Day darts tournament

A FAMILY’S darts tournament has gone viral after a grandmother clinched victory with a bullseye.

The Danvers household erupted as Maureen stepped up to the oche to secure victory in style.

Grandson Louis was up against his 85-year-old nan in the final.

Maureen required 86 to win and she hit treble 12 followed by the bullseye.

It led to wild scenes as the whole family celebrated with her and begun singing.

The clip has gone viral on social media with some calling for Maureen to be at Ally Pally next year.

And fans have already given her the nickname “Raymond Nan Barneveld” after the 2007 World Championship Van Barneveld.

Others commented: “Celebrations are amazing.”

Another added: “Sports Personality of the Year 2024.”

A third said: “Best thing I have seen all Christmas.”

Reacting to his narrow defeat to his grandma, Louis tweeted: “I thought I had the final in the bag… she had other ideas.”

Darts sensation Luke Littler, 16, is 69 years younger than Maureen.
