BEN PAULING is hoping some divine inspiration can get Bowtogreatness into the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival.
Owned by football legend Harry Redknapp, Bowtogreatness is trained by Ben Pauling, whose stable is running white hot.
Ben Pauling and Harry Redknapp had a big winner at Cheltenham on New Year’s Day[/caption]He’s being targeted at the £75,000 Kim Muir Handicap Chase for amateur jockeys and Pauling reckons he has his eight-year-old right where he wants him.
The problem for Pauling and Redknapp, however, is that Bowtogreatness is on bubble to get into the race.
Pauling said: “I’m really hoping that Bowtogreatness will get into the Kim Muir.
“He ran well at Kempton last weekend and is a horse that takes a lot to get properly fit.
“He headbutted the fences at Newbury on return and took a huge blow at Cheltenham after that. Ben Jones [jockey] told me he did the same on Saturday too.
“I haven’t been hard on him and I think he’s finally near his peak now.”
Bowtogreatness is a general 25-1 shot for the Kim Muir and off his current mark, punters can be positive on his chances.
Pauling and Redknapp have been a potent combination this season, winning on New Year’s Day at Cheltenham with Shakem Up’Arry.
That was Redknapp’s first Graded winner as an owner, but further success could be just around the corner.
