The Gunners announced the defender has signed a new deal at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday.
Ben White’s contract extension video has been slammed by rival fans[/caption]White has extended his stay in North London through to 2028 with the option of a further year.
To celebrate the news, Arsenal shared a video of White’s team-mates talking about the 26-year-old.
Amongst the tributes, Gabriel Martinelli explained: “Every team would love to have Ben White in the team.”
Meanwhile, when asked to describe him in three words, Martinelli, Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe all dubbed White a “warrior”.
Aaron Ramsdale then goes on to call him a “plonker” and “a person who will do anything to win”.
However, rival supporters have taken aim at the clip on social media.
One fan commented: “Such a performative club. Everything they do is cringe personified. This is a RIGHT BACK signing a contract extension. He’s not leaving the earth or retiring. Unbearable club.”
Another added: “Everything about this club is cringe. They overdo the happy family gimmick so much, it’s a Ben White contract extension.”

A supporter also wrote: “This is one of the cringiest things I have ever seen. He’s signed a new deal, not passed away.”
White’s previous deal had been due to expire in 2026, having been signed after his arrival from Brighton three years ago.
He has since made 122 appearances for Arsenal and missed just one match across all competitions this season.
His extension comes after Gareth Southgate left the defender out of his latest England squad.
The Three Lions boss explained White had told him he did not want to be called up for friendlies.
As a result, Southgate has also ruled out handing the Arsenal man a spot in his squad for this summer’s Euros.
White has won four caps since Southgate handed him his debut in 2021, but has not featured for England since March 2022.
