FANS trolled Thomas Detry and declared the golf star as “one of us” after his incredible SIX PUTT meltdown.

However, Detry’s recent efforts on the sixth at the Cognizant Classic have now led to him going viral for all of the wrong reasons.
He was actually on the green in just two shots on the par-4 sixth hole when things suddenly went completely wrong.
Having missed a 51 foot birdie attempt narrowly, the ball ended up around six-feet past the hole.
He missed his par attempt and then amazingly missed the comebacker for bogey.
But, incredibly, Detry missed again and AGAIN before he eventually tapped home.
His five putts from six feet and eventual six-putt is not something you see regularly on the pro golf circuit.
And after footage of his nightmare spread on X, fans were quick to make fun.

One joked: “LOL this is a ‘pro’??? Take his tour card IMMEDIATELY.”
Another declared that “he’s one of us” with a host of others simply responding with crying laughing emojis.
“I almost went and snapped my own putter watching that,” replied a fellow golfing enthusiast.
A fourth said: “Once in a while you need to be reminded golf is not for the weak of mind.”
As a fifth wrote: “Six putts on one green. That’s one even I haven’t done before.”
The rest of Detry’s scorecard failed to provide him with any relief after his disaster on the sixth.
He had four other bogeys on the front nine and made the turn in eight-over-par 43 and shot 80.
And that placed him in LAST place in the 144-man field.
