In doing so, he became Botswana’s first ever Olympic gold medallist.

Already a hero in his homeland, Tebogo performed a good deed yesterday.

Heavy rain this week has caused Botswana’s capital Gaborone to flood.

In fact, several roads have been closed across the country.

When a car got stuck in the water in Gaborone, Tebogo showed initiative.

In a video widely circulated online, the track and field superstar arrived in his 4×4 Toyota Land Cruise.

Using his big car, Tebogo was able to pull the other vehicle out of danger.

At last summer’s Olympic Games, Tebogo also earned a silver medal in the 4x400m relay.

He achieved the feat alongside team-mates Busang Kebinatshipi, Bayapo Ndori and Anthony Pesela.

Tebogo was his country’s flag bearer at both the opening and closing ceremonies.
