However, the 20-year-old did not get the chance to do so without an awkward interruption.

The Dane initially started speaking to Laura Woods, Rio Ferdinand and Joleon Lescott.
But he was then cut off by the Wolves tannoy system as they made an announcement.
Presenter Woods promptly ended the awkward exchange by joking: “They’re (Wolves) just annoyed that you won the game, that’s why they’re doing that”.
Once the announcement was finished, Hojlund got back to the interview and was asked by Ferdinand about Mainoo’s goal and performance.
Hojlund said: “I didn’t really get to see him in pre-season because I wasn’t there but all the other lads were speaking about him saying ‘this guy is great, he’s a generational talent’.
“I could see he has a nice body type, he’s very mature in his personality as well.
“He’s very calm and, off the pitch, he’s a nice and relaxed guy. You can see he’s very composed. You can see his quality and again today he shows it.

“He’s an incredible talent. Only 18 years old, I thought it was young but now he’s stepping up.”
Mainoo’s late winner in the 4-3 thriller at Wolves saw him continue an eight-year record for Man Utd.
That record being that the last three 90th-minute or later winning goals in the Premier League by players aged 18 years old or younger have all come from United’s Carrington academy.
