TEMPLEGATE tackles a interesting Wednesday of racing confident of slamming home a few winners.

CHERIE D’AM (2.05 Warwick, nap)

She looked a really nice prospect for the Skelton’s when beating 17 rivals on her hurdles debut at Wetherby earlier this month.

She has won a bumper in the mud and showed a liking for testing ground when tanking along at the Yorkshire track. Harry Skelton didn’t have to take her past second gear to score by five lengths.

This is a slightly better race but she is capable of taking a fair step forward with the extra furlong holding few fears.

YORKSHIRE (7.00 Wolverhampton, nb)

He got no luck on his comeback from almost six months off at Newcastle last time. He travelled nicely before having the door slammed in his face as he tried to make his challenge.

The form book says he was only fifth but he was well within two lengths off the winner and would have been a lot closer with a clear run.

Stepping up to seven furlongs holds no fears and he has a decent low draw tonight.

CLOVIS BOY (2.30 Hexham, treble)

He had three quiet runs last season to get what looked a fair handicap mark when he was a rusty fourth on return at Carlisle four weeks ago.

He was out the back for a long way before coming up the hill nicely and was gaining at the line. Testing ground and stamina-sapping Hexham should be right up his street and he has little weight.
