MANCHESTER UNITED have resembled a circus at times this season.
So one of their players should feel right at home after he revealed that he comes from a family with a history in the big top.
Diogo Dalot has revealed he comes from a family with a history in the circus[/caption]Diogo Dalot isn’t known for clowning around on the pitch, as his aggressive defensive style sometimes leaves him walking a tightrope.
But he told the TNT Sports show “Sign Up – Into Football” that his family used to be in the circus.
When discussing where his surname Dalot came from, the Portuguese full-back revealed it is actually French.
And he explained that his family settled in Portugal after travelling with the circus for generations.
He said: “First of all, It’s French [the name Dalot].
“That’s my only connection with France, but it comes from four or five generations before.
“It’s actually funny, because it comes from a circus family. So I’m guessing that they were doing [shows] all over Europe and they must have stopped in Portugal for a while.
“But we found out it [my surname] came from a circus family.”

When asked if he had any juggling skills, Dalot joked that he would stick to football.
He replied: “Only with a football!”
Dalot will be pleased that his ancestors stopped in Portugal as the 24-year-old has 16 caps for the national team.
But for now he has to focus on ensuring he is entertaining fans inside Old Trafford.
The Red Devils looked uninspiring during their 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Sunday and their lack of goals is a problem
Seems like they need to go for the juggler more often.
