FORMER Premier League star Kieron Dyer has claimed he spotted a red flag with Jadon Sancho when he was a teenager.
Sancho, 23, sealed a return to Borussia Dortmund on loan after he was frozen out at Manchester United following his September bust-up with boss Erik ten Hag.

However, ex-Newcastle star Dyer has recalled when he watched Sancho during his time with Manchester City Under 18s.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Dyer said: “He was a wonderkid growing up. He was the talk of everybody in the academies at that time.
“I was coaching and when I watched Man City he was unstoppable. It was the youth team, so the under-18s and he was incredible.
“He was probably 17 years old and everyone wanted him – he could have his pick, he’d just dominate every team.”
But the 45-year-old then revealed what appeared to be Sancho’s Achilles heel.
He continued: “They played Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup final and played against Reece James and Reece James got the better of him, which can happen to anyone, but he quit on his team in the Youth Cup final.
“He just mentally went and I kind of had a red flag against him then and thought that’s a bit weird.

“He’s got the world at his feet and alright, he’s had a bad game but he’s quit on his teammates.
“You could see the life had gone out of him, he’d stopped tracking back and sort of given up and was basically mentally gone.”
Sancho was hooked in the 77th minute of the second leg of the final as Chelsea stormed to a 6-2 aggregate win in 2017.
He has already been spotted in training following his return to Germany.
However, Sancho infuriated Man Utd fans after he was spotted kissing the yellow and black badge of Dortmund.
A video also emerged during Sancho’s medical, in which he can be heard saying “sorry” twice in quick succession.
This comes after months of refusing to apologise to Ten Hag for calling out the Dutchman following his criticism of the winger in training which Sancho called “completely untrue”.
