HE was one of the most gifted players in the Premier League – and he also owns a stunning beach club in his homeland.

Silva, who had a surprising reputation as a party animal, stayed at Amadores Beach Club before finalising a move to Real Sociedad in 2020.
You can be sure he let his hair down.
Location, location, location
Found on Amadores Beach in the Anfi del Mar region of Gran Canaria, it’s five miles from Arguineguin – where the now retired midfield maestro is from and a owns 88 luxury homes in a separate resort.
But it’s here where you can get the party started 365 days a year.
There are three separate areas for the revellers.
The most exclusive come in the shape of the cabins that have their own pool, terrace, sofas, refrigerator, flat screen TV, direct telephone for waiter service waiter, and sun loungers and chillout puffs.
For the price of £388 – a bottle of champagne and eight Heineken beers are thrown in for good measure.
The Solarium offers comfortable Balinese hammocks, massages and beauty treatments.
It’s found in the front line of the beach club, where you can take a dip in the sea or main pool.
While the Champagne Sunshine Area gives punters large sunloungers, tables and puffs.
Sadly, the Moet & Chandon doesn’t come for free.

Food is on hand to soak up any alcohol consumed.
The Beach Restaurant offers local delights, including a highly-rated paella.
It’s setting, with stunning views of the sea and the mountainous region make it a picturesque place to dine.
The menu itself is extensive and seasonal.
As well as the mentioned paella, which will set you back around £17, there are plenty of seafood options.
A fresh fish and seafood stew, Bilbao-style fresh turbot, and a red tuna all come in over £20.
A variation on risotto dishes with lobster, prawns, squid and more are all available.

For meat lovers, there’s a grilled entrecote steak, pork fillet, and stir-fried chicken.

The reviews for Amadores Beach Club are mostly positive.
A quick look on TripAdvisor reveals a 3.5 out of five rating from past customers.
One five star reviewer wrote: “Fantastic place, great chilled atmosphere, we only headed to the restaurant as having kids the risk of them being “bored” quickly we felt stick to the beach.
“However we had one of the best meals especially the paella, real paella rice! Cooked in a proper paella pan, insane flavour, good value considering the venue, location and feel. Kids were made to feel welcome and great portion sizes for them.”
Another visitor who gave it top marks posted: “Myself and a group of friends booked a private cabana to celebrate a birthday. We were permitted to play our own music and decorate the cabana with birthday balloons.
“The setting is stunning and the staff were excellent. Our server was fun, hospitable and the service was second to none.
“The food was fantastic- between a large group we had sushi, pasta, salads and sides and all were amazing. The choice of drinks was outstanding be it soft drinks, beer, spirts and wines and champagne.”
Nest egg
Silva’s investment in Amadores Beach Club isn’t his only nest egg.
In 2019, the 2010 World Cup winner joined forces with winemaker Jonatan Garcia and launched an exciting new winery called Bodega Tameran, in the Canary Islands.
Guided by his entrepreneurial spirit, Silva bought a farm of almost one million square metres in the centre of his native Gran Canaria.
His bottle of Baboso can cost up to £150 quid in a Michelin starred restaurant in London.
His first two vintages exceeded 10,000 bottles this year, with the figure set to increase.
All varieties have been exported across the world.
