With the score 1-1 shortly before the break, Silva, 29, could be seen in an animated state on the bench.

TNT Sports cameras had panned to the bench while highlighting Villa hat-trick hero Phil Foden.

But during the coverage they inadvertently picked up Silva appearing to have words with someone off camera.

Silva was seen getting up from his seat and placing his hand over the headrest of the one in front.

He could then be seen pointing at himself before wagging his finger.

Commentator Darren Fletcher said: “Bernardo Silva‘s spotted something.

“I’m not sure if there was an issue down there.

“It certainly seemed that way by Bernardo Silva’s body language.”

Silva was eventually introduced into the game in the 93rd minute, replacing Kevin De Bruyne who netted two goals and an assist in the 4-2 victory.

The win put’s Pep Guardiola‘s defending champions level with Liverpool before the Reds face Manchester United tomorrow.

Third party title challengers Arsenal are in action against Brighton in today’s late kick-off.

The match was hit by travel chaos hours before kick off following a landslide in the Hassocks/Burgess Hill area that caused some train lines to close between Haywards Heath and Brighton.
