MICHAEL SMITH hit an incredible no-look 180 as he crashed out of the Grand Slam of Darts.
The 2023 world champion has had an up and down season and is yet to show his best darts on the ranking stage.
He was eliminated from the group stage of the Grand Slam of Darts despite being a heavy favourite to progress.
Smith, 34, is ranked number three in the world but managed just one win, which came against Mensur Suljovic in his first match.
A heavy defeat to Jermaine Wattimena next meant he had to beat Mike De Decker to go through, but he was whitewashed 5-0.
The only highlight for Bully Boy came in the fourth leg as he attempted an audacious piece of skill.
With De Decker requiring double tops and Smith not close to a finish, he decided to attempt a rarely-seen 180.
Smith’s first two darts landed on treble 20 before he threw his third while looking away from the board.
Remarkably, that also landed so Smith completed a no-look 180.
It was little consolation for Smith who was far from his best, having failed to attempt a single double all night.

However he was not the only big name to be knocked out with Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright all falling at the first hurdle.
Luke Littler progressed after winning all three group stage games and he is now one of the favourites to triumph in Wolverhampton.
