OLYMPICS sensation Raygun has added a new accolade to her belt after the World DanceSport Federation awarded her a shock title.
The Paris Olympics marked the inaugural edition of breaking at the Games.
Olympic viral sensation Raygun is ranked No1 in the World DanceSport Federation rankings[/caption] She made headlines for her unorthodox routine in Paris[/caption]But Australian Rachael Gunn, or Raygun, caused a stir with her unorthodox routine when going up against France‘s (Sya Dembele) and America’s Logistx (Logan Edra).
Her routine included kangaroo hops, sliding on the ground like a snake, with some comparing the moves to that of a “toddler”.
After failing to win a single point, her performance was ridiculed online, with the backlash leading to the 37-year-old having to come off social media.
However, while she made headlines for all the wrong reasons in Paris, this month has seen her crowned the world’s No1 breaker by the World DanceSport Federation.
The organisation named Raygun as the world’s best “b-girl” in the September rankings.
Meanwhile, Olympic medal winning trio Ami Yuasa, Dominika ‘Nicka’ Banevic and Liu ‘671’ Qingyi – who won gold, silver and bronze respectively – failed to make the top ten.
