JAKE PAUL has “multiple opponents” that are “lining up” to welcome him to the MMA cage.

The YouTuber-turned boxer last year signed for the Professional Fighters League, a rivalling promotion to the UFC.

And according to PFL CEO Peter Murray, plans are being put in place for Paul to debut in MMA with an announcement imminent.

He told John Morgan: “Yeah, “Jake’s very active, A in boxing, B he’s training MMA, and we’re excited.

“Multiple opponents are lining up to be part of his debut into MMA. We’ll be announcing those details, I would say, in the coming months.”

Paul, 26, announced his deal with PFL just a month before he suffered defeat for the first time, against Tommy Fury, 24, last February.

But he bounced back in August with victory over ex-UFC star Nate Diaz over ten rounds.

Paul and the PFL then offered £10million to rematch in the cage as part of their soon-to-be-launched “super-fight” series.

But Diaz, 38, instead looks set to run it back with Jorge Masvidal, 40, who he lost to by doctor stoppage at UFC 244 in 2019.

Paul closed out 2023 with a first-round KO over Andre August, 35, the first pro boxer he has defeated.

The American now returns on March 2 in Puerto Rico on the undercard of Amanda Serrano’s homecoming.

No opponent has yet been announced but Paul claimed on social media that Fury was offered a rematch but did not respond.

The former Love Islander in October beat Paul’s arch rival KSI, 30, in a controversial decision.
