Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight purse: How much money will both boxers earn for big Netflix clash?

THERE’S no doubt that the main goal for both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is to secure a huge win on Netflix – but the fight purse isn’t too bad of a bonus either.

Paul, 27, last tasted defeat at the hands of bitter rival Tommy Fury during their blockbuster 2023 clash.

Since then, the social media sensation has gone on a four-match winning run with his most recent triumph coming against MMA icon Mike Perry.

And Paul will need to perform at a high level if he is to keep this spectacular streak going.

Tyson shocked the world by keeping boxing legend Roy Jones Jr on his toes during a 2020 exhibition bout.

However, there have been concerns about whether Iron Mike should be getting in the ring with someone significantly younger due to an ulcer flare-up earlier this year.

But despite Tyson claiming that money is not the impetus to fight Paul, the huge purse up for grabs is most certainly a good enough incentive for him to shake the cobwebs off his gloves.

What is the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight purse?

Jake Paul has boasted that he is set to pocket a staggering £31million ($40m) for his Netflix showdown against Mike Tyson.

And Iron Mike will reportedly take home the exact same amount.

Paul even cheekily released a video offering Tyson an extra $5m if he can last more than four rounds in their fight.

However, the caveat to the bet states that if Iron Mike fails to get past the fourth round then he must get a tattoo that reads ‘I love Jake Paul’.

Tyson responded to the offer saying: “He should offer more.

“Tell him probably about 20 (million).”

Why did the initial fight get postponed?

Mike Tyson’s health issues forced him to put his training on hold.

The former world champion suffered a medical emergency on board a flight in May as a result of an ulcer flare up.

Netflix, who are set to show the fight, released a statement announcing the cancellation.

It read: “Unfortunately Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not face-off on July 20 as planned. Tyson’s recent ulcer flare up has limited his ability to train fully for the next few weeks.

“The fight will be rescheduled for a date later this year after Mike’s able to resume training with no limitations and both fighters can have equal time to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup!”

Tyson required medical assistance from paramedics on board a flight from Miami to LA.

He felt nauseous and dizzy though his publicist said he was feeling “very good” after treatment.
