JAMIE CARRAGHER told Rio Ferdinand “It’s not the win you think it is” as Manchester United beat Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The dramatic clash saw United then lead but strikes from Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah within three minutes of each other fired the Reds ahead.

Then Antony’s 87th-minute equaliser took the game into extra time.

After Marcus Rashford and Diallo’s strike in extra time to come back from Harvey Elliott’s goals, United booked their spot into the next round.

Erik ten Hag‘s squad will now face Championship side Coventry City and Liverpool legend Carragher chipped in to say: “Unbelievable game.

“It’s a great result for Man United but Liverpool only have themselves to blame. Scored three & still the attacking players were all very poor.

“Can’t complain too much as they’ve been amazing all season. Football bloody hell!”

Ex-United star Ferdinand celebrated on X and tweeted “Wembley” with the heart eyes emoji.

The tease Carragher Ferdinand posted a photo of Rashford, as well as a picture of himself celebrating a previous triumph with teammates and a disappointed Carragher.

Carragher then fired back at the post writing, “Relax. Man City will beat you comfortably in the final & ETH will still be in charge next season.

“It’s not the win you think it is!!”

Manchester City beat Newcastle 2-0 at the Etihad and will now face Chelsea who beat a 10-man Leicester City side 4-2.

United however defeated Liverpool for the 11th time in FA Cup history which will be a massive boost for Ten Hag who is looking to salvage their disappointing term with some silverware.

Klopp’s side were hoping for a historic quadruple in his final season, though the Red Devils stood in the way of a second trophy.

Man United will play Coventry City at Wembley Stadium next month.

But this is not the last time this term Old Trafford hosts Liverpool as they face the Merseyside outfit again on April 7 as United fight for a Champions League spot.
