Jarrod Bowen’s Love Island star girlfriend Dani Dyer calls him her ‘wounded soldier’ as he shows off gruesome eye injury

DANI DYER called Jarrod Bowen her “wounded soldier” after the West Ham star suffered a gruesome cut against Arsenal.

The England star was in League Cup action for the Hammers on Wednesday night.

David Moyes‘ side were in brilliant form to dump the Gunners out, with Bowen on the scoresheet as his team won 3-1.

It wasn’t all plain sailing, however, with Bowen suffering a nasty cut around his eye during the match.

He appeared to apply Vaseline to it in order to keep playing.

Earlier today, Bowen’s partner Dani posted an update on her man’s injury.

The 27-year-old posted a snap of him hugging one of his baby twins with his eyes closed.

In the snap, Bowen’s vicious cut was still very visible.

She captioned the image: “Such a wounded soldier.”

Dani made light of the situation by adding a laughing emoji.

After the game, Bowen focused on his team’s result, rather than his injury.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “We had to fight, we knew we was playing a top side but it was a really good performance compared to the last few [games].

“We have not been at the level, but we were always going to bounce-back and tonight was the prefect way to do it.”

Dyer has been in a relationship with Bowen since December 2021.

In May this year, Dyer gave birth to twin girls, Summer and Star.

Bowen has gone from strength to strength in recent months.

He has already bagged seven goals in 13 appearances in all competitions this season.

While his form has also been rewarded with further England call-ups.
