Gravy lovers rushed to the comments to defend the sauce.
One perplexed fan said: “A northeast lad who doesn’t like gravy, still blows my mind, all the best Jeff.”
A second said: “Got to have gravy!!! Just not right!!”
A third said: “You’ve been in the South far too long Jeff. Got to have something moist.”

Speaking on talkSPORT last week, Stelling had told Ally McCoist: “I hate gravy Ally. If the turkey’s dry I’m in trouble because I cannot have gravy on turkey.
“Yeah (cranberry sauce) or horseradish, something like that. No gravy. This year it’s going to be a tense morning in the Stelling household.
“We have a new oven, and it’s smaller than the previous one. Mrs Stelling is not certain that the turkey, which is one of the biggest in the history of the world, will fit!
“I love bread sauce on my Turkey but no gravy. How do you taste the meat if you have swamped it in either a sauce or gravy? I just love to have the taste.”
Stelling left his role on Sky Sports at the end of the last season before joining talkSPORT to replace Laura Woods after her move to TNT Sports.
