JESSE LINGARD was mobbed by fans as he arrived in South Korea to complete his FC Seoul transfer… and was bizarrely handed a flute.

The former Manchester United star, 31, has been without a club since the summer when his one-year deal at Nottingham Forest came to an end.

He was linked with a host of teams including West Ham and Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq – both of whom he trained with.

But now he finally looks set to put pen to paper with South Korean side FC Seoul.

The attacking midfielder landed at Incheon airport and was greeted by a swarm of fans.

Lingard was seen walking through the terminal as locals desperately tried to catch a glimpse of the ex-England international.

And he was also given a flute by one fan – referencing his celebration where he pretends to play the instrument.

According to Korean journalist Sungmo Lee, Lingard is scheduled to have his medical on Tuesday.

Providing everything goes according to plan, he will then immediately join up with his new team-mates.

FC Seoul are six-time K League champions and have twice reached the final of the Asian Champions League.

Their squad includes former Swansea and Newcastle midfielder Ki Sung-yeung.

Lingard scored just two goals and provided two assists in 20 appearances for Forest.

It came after he racked up 232 games for Man Utd, scoring 35 goals and assisting a further 21.

But some of his best form came during a short loan stint at West Ham where he registered 14 goal contribution in just 16 matches.
