Jockey being treated for injuries on Aintree track after suffering horrible mid-race fall

A JOCKEY is being treated on the track after suffering a horrible fall in worrying scenes on day one of the Grand National Festival.

TV cameras showed the screens usually reserved for horses being put up during the running of the Foxhunters’ Chase.

It is not yet clear who the jockey is or the extent of their injuries.

But Ed Chamberlin on ITV Racing said an ambulance was there in case they needed to be rushed to hospital.

Three jockeys – Lois Teal, David Maxwell and Harry Myddleton – were unseated in the race for amateur jockeys.

While Ben Sutton and Alex Chadwick fell from their mounts 66-1 Drop Flight and 50-1 The Big Lense respectively.
