John Terry reveals why he turns off the plug sockets every day at Chelsea training ground as fans say he ‘just gets it’

CHELSEA legend John Terry has revealed he turns off plug sockets around the training ground to avoid seeing the colour red.

The Blues icon, 43, returned to Stamford Bridge last summer as an academy coach.

And he has now shown off an unusual habit he completes to get rid of any red around the complex – the colours of Chelsea‘s rivals Arsenal.

Terry shared a picture on Instagram of a turned on switch in the corner of a room – which has a small amount of red on it.

And he added the caption: “When I’m at the training ground I have to switch these off because I hate the red in our building, I done this everyday as a player also.”

Chelsea fans were loving the post from one of their club’s all-time greatest players.

One replied: “We will never have a player like him ever again .”

Another added: “He just gets it.”

A third said: “Haha love this .”

And a fourth responded: “Elite mentality right there.”

Terry, who earned 78 England caps, spent 19 years as a Chelsea first-team player, racking up 717 appearances for the club.

He won five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, three League Cups, the Champions League and Europa League.

After departing Stamford Bridge in 2017, he spent one season at Aston Villa, before he retired to become a coach.

He started as Dean Smith’s assistant at Villa Park, before joining Leicester in the same role last season.

Terry became an academy coach at Chelsea in July.
