JUDE BELLINGHAM reckons Phil Foden could slot into a position that very few people would expect.
The Real Madrid superstar has tipped his England teammate to do a job as a GOALKEEPER.
Jude Bellingham has tipped Phil Foden to be a goalkeeper[/caption]Foden, who is often deployed as either a winger or attacking midfielder, was less than convinced of his credentials as a shot-stopper.
The pair were picking their ultimate England 5-a-side teams alongside Aaron Ramsdale for the Three Lions YouTube channel.
And when choosing who they would have in net, Bellingham suggested that Foden would make a good keeper for his team.
The 20-year-old said: “I reckon Phil [Foden] would be good in net, weirdly.
“Just really active, like just jump around and that. I reckon he’d be decent in net.”
But the Man City star was quick to explain that Bellingham was mistaken, pointing to his 5ft 7in frame as the main reason why he would struggle in between the sicks.
He said: “Me? Me as a good keeper? I don’t know where he’s got that from, [I would] probably get chipped all the time.
“Yeah, I’ve never played in goal, never wanted to. So I’m not sure what Jude [Bellingham] is talking about there.”

Although Bellingham appeared to be joking about his suggestion to get his compatriot to don some gloves, Foden is in the midst of a midfield selection dilemma for the national team.
Gareth Southgate has the tough task of deciding what midfield he set up with in Germany this summer.
Many fans and pundits are calling for Foden to be played in a midfield three alongside Declan Rice and Bellingham.
While others feel the 23-year-old is better suited on the wing and could be electric up top alongside Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka.
Foden has bagged eight goals and seven assists in 23 Premier League appearance for Man City this season – playing predominantly as a winger under Pep Guardiola.
