There was little for fans to chant about on the pitch as the Three Lions laboured to a 1-1 draw at the Toše Proeski Arena.

After the game, the visiting fans were held back and kept themselves busy as they chanted at the Channel 4 punditry team.

Chants of “Channel 4 is f**king s**t” were picked up on the broadcaster’s microphones, but Jules remained cool and continued with the post-match analysis.

Fans spotted the moment and flocked to social media.

One fan posted: “England away fans chanting ‘Channel 4 is f**king s**t’ during the post-match analysis is the highlight of the international break.”

A second joked: “Fair play to Joleon Lescott trying his best not to laugh.”

A third wrote: “Those pesky, lovable scamps, they’re just so witty.”

A fourth commented: “This is better than the 90s.”

A fifth said: “This is funny tbf.”

Another added: “Best entertainment of the night was the chants.”

England fell behind in the first half after Rico Lewis was harshly adjudged to have fouled Bojan Miovski in the box.

Enis Bardhi fired past Jordan Pickford after seeing his initial penalty saved.

England drew themselves level in the second half as Harry Kane made an instant impact off the bench as he forced an own-goal from Jani Atanasov.

The result did see England confirm their spot as a top seed for the Euro 2024 draw on December 2.
