NEWCASTLE and Juventus are favourites to sign Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

That’s according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who’ve installed the pair as leading contenders to clinch his signature during the January transfer window.

It’s been another lacklustre campaign for Phillips at the Etihad Stadium.

The 28-year-old continues to be overlooked by manager Pep Guardiola, who’s handed him just two starts in all competitions this season.

Those were in the Carabao Cup and a dead-rubber against Red Star in the Champions League after qualification was already assured.

Phillips cost City £42million when they bought him from Leeds in July 2022, but he’s started only six matches in total during that 17-month period.

The England international is desperate for regular minutes to ensure he retains his place in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championships in Germany.

And though City hope to sell, it’s possible they will allow him to leave on a six-month loan.

That’s perhaps why Juventus are available at odds-on 10/11.

It’s been reported that the Italian heavyweights have already held talks with Manchester City about a potential deal to bolster their midfield ranks.

Eddie Howe’s Newcastle are narrowly behind at Evens as they look to replace Sandro Tonali, who was banned for 10 months for breaching betting rules.

Tottenham are next at 20/1, ahead of Aston Villa and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at 25/1 and 33/1 respectively.

London rivals Arsenal and West Ham are locked together at 40/1, ahead of 50/1 paid Brighton and Championship Leeds.
