KIEFER CROSBIE has officially been handed his second UFC assignment.

The former Bellator welterweight made his octagon debut on the UFC 293 prelims in September on just over two weeks’ notice.

Crosbie, 33, suffered a first-round submission defeat to fellow debutant Kevin Jousset.

But the proud Irishman won’t have to wait long to try and redeem himself.

The SBG Ireland standout will have the opportunity to pick up his first UFC win against Themba Gorimbo at UFC Fight Night 235 on February 3.

‘Big Daddy’ will lock horns with fellow UFC rookie Themba Gorimbo, who recently had a house bought for him by WWE icon The Rock.

Crosbie wrote on Instagram: “It’s official, 10 weeks time I make my real debut with the @ufc.

“Full camp this time.

“I hope your daddy @therock bought you life insurance to go along with that gaf you little moocher.

“Because I’m coming for that head! Erin go bragh #redemption.”

The Dubliner even jokingly told The Rock – real name Dwayne Johnson – that he’s got his eye on a few houses.

He wrote: “Here @therock I’m looking at a few 5 bedroom chats in Dalkey overlooking the sea atm, check your DMs.”

Zimbabwean Gorimbo will enter the contest in the win column following a decision victory over Takashi Sato in May.

Gorimbo tugged on the heartstrings of MMA fans after beating Sato by revealing he only had £5 in his bank account.

His touching story and admission struck a chord with The Rock, who stunned him by purchasing him a brand-spanking new house.

The proud Zimbabwean was overcome with emotion after the incredibly generous act, which he reflected on via Instagram.

Alongside a snap of himself and The Rock, he wrote: “Forever grateful.

“@therock thank you for being my extra motivation every single day from the day we met till forever.

“I have always worked hard but now i even work super hard because of your great support on this journey of mine.

“Every day is a blessing and i will make the most of this amazing opportunity you have given me and my family.”
