The £160,000-a-week ace was warned he faced a race for fitness in a bid to make Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup in Qatar.

But before he went under the knife on October 4, the star enjoyed a secret rendezvous with Lauryn, 32, behind long-suffering wife Annie’s back.

The sordid hotel romp saw Lauryn fall pregnant with his second love child to her – a baby girl born in July last year.

City confirmed the surgery on Kyle’s left leg in an update posted two days later on October 6 – declaring it a success. 

The Three Lions full-back even tweeted: “My operation on Tuesday was a success and now I can concentrate on my rehab and getting back to full fitness. 

“I will be supporting my teammates every day in any way I can.”

He was selected by Southgate and travelled with the team to Qatar but missed the first two matches.

He recovered in time to face Wales in a thumping 3-0 win and helped secure a quarter final spot against France with victory against Senegal.

The player was tasked with marking lightning quick Kylian Mbappe for a place in the semis but the Three Lions suffered heartbreak.
