Punters will be able to see exactly how a horse performed in one giant database as part of a new partnership between Arena Racing Company and Racecourse Media Group.

The old rivals – who between them control virtually all the racecourses in Britain – have teamed up for the good of punters.

All sectional times – which measure the time a horse takes to run a furlong – will now be available on racingtv.com and attheraces.com.

The new joint-agreement comes courtesy of Coursetrack and Total Performance Data, who track data at all 59 British racecourses.

Outgoing RMG CEO, Martin Stevenson, said: “Timing data can revolutionise how we look at horseracing and, by collaborating with ARC, ATR and TPD, we are delighted to create a new easy-to-navigate database with data from all British racecourses.

“It means race fans and punters will have all this valuable data at their fingertips in the one place.”

TPD Commercial Director, John McBroom, said: “This is a significant milestone for British racing fans.

“With all tracking data now consolidated into a single database, the sectional times in a horse’s form profile are now complete and easy to access.

“Our Operations Director, George Deedes, has worked tirelessly to deliver this project and we thank ARC, ATR and RMG for their collaboration.”

While Arc Managing Director of Media and International, Brendan Parnell, said: “This exciting development is the latest industry collaboration with RMG which puts racing fans at the centre of an improved customer experience.

“Access to the latest tracking and timing data gives punters a one-stop shop to improve their form and betting analysis.”

It was also revealed that this latest innovation is just the tip of the iceberg.

Further features including stride data are set to form part of a huge information pack all designed to help punters.
