LEGENDARY ex-Manchester United CEO David Gill has revealed three changes Omar Berrada must make to return the club to the top.
United raided rivals Man City to make Berrada their new chief executive following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s minority takeover.
Berrada is credited as one of the backroom stars who helped turn Pep Guardiola’s side into Treble winners.
But he has a huge job on his hands at Old Trafford, with United’s last Premier League title win coming in 2013.
Erik ten Hag remains under huge pressure despite going the last five games unbeaten.
And United remain hamstrung in the market after needing to toe the line with Financial Fair Play rules.
But Berrada has now been handed several tips by ex-United CEO Gill, who oversaw a golden period in United’s history between 2003 and 2013.
Gill, who first joined United as finance director in 1997, reckons Ratcliffe has already ticked off a huge achievement by bringing in someone from “outside” the club.
As for Berrada, he has been advised to forge links with sporting director Dave Brailsford, as well as United’s recruitment team and negotiation department.
Gill also reckons Berrada should focus on securing more lucrative sponsorship deals, while aligning things with great team performances on the pitch too.

Talking up the three-pronged attack for Berrada, Gill told Vibe with Five: “Firstly, I think appointing someone from outside is a good idea, someone with new ideas and a new perspective coming from a very successful club.
“[My advices would be to] really focus in with Dave Brailsford and those on the recruitment and negotiation side, really understand that.
“Get the focus back on that, get it working better to deliver the players.
“We have just negotiated an extension with adidas, a great deal there, and we’ve got sponsors coming in all the time so that is working pretty well.
“But if you align that with a team performance you’re doing even better.”
