LIVERPOOL have tabled a fresh bid for Florian Wirtz, it’s been claimed.
The Reds identified the Germany international as a summer target during his second straight stellar season with Bayer Leverkusen.

They moved quickly to try to acquire his services, tabling a bid for him earlier this month.
Their initial approach was rebuffed but, according to reports, they’ve made a new bid for the 22-year-old.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim the Merseysiders have bid a whopping £109MILLION for the midfielder.
It’s also claimed Wirtz is “keen” to swap Leverkusen for Merseyside.
Kop chief Arne Slot is said to have had a huge role in the German setting his sights on an Anfield move.
The Dutchman, according to Bild, had a meeting with Wirtz on May 13.
And they claim the passion he showed in their chat has convinced Wirtz that he wants to join the Reds.
Wirtz is also said to have been enthused by Slot’s insistence that he’ll be central to his attacking plans next season.

Liverpool will face an uphill battle to acquire Wirtz’s services as both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are keen on signing him.
Should their second offer for Leverkusen’s crown jewel be accepted, it will shatter the record Premier League transfer fee.
Chelsea currently hold the record having spent a whopping £106m to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in January 2023.
Wirtz played an integral role in Leverkusen pipping Bayern to the 2023/24 Bundesliga title.
He scored eighteen goals and provided a whopping 20 assists in 49 appearances for Xabi Alonso‘s former side.
He continued that stellar form last season, scoring 16 goals and racking up 15 assists in 45 appearances.
