LOVE is in the air.
Yes, that’s right folks one of our stable stars Love Envoi is set to run in the £100,000 Conditions Hurdle at Lingfield on Friday.
Fry will run Love Envoi in Lingfield’s big Friday card[/caption]She’s taken a big step forward since her return in the Fighting Fifth at Sandown which, although it wasn’t a bad run based on the result, was disappointing in the way that she raced.
She looked as if she never took the handbrake off, so we’re hoping for a big improvement here.
She seems much sharper at home, her schooling has been good and we’re looking forward to running her — IF the track beats the freezing weather.
We’re hoping tomorrow’s card at Newbury will get the go ahead.
Ask Me Early has always had talent but has not achieved what we thought he would earlier in his career.
He’s not getting any younger but he showed there was something to work with at Exeter last time.
He’s well in himself and is ready to go.
We also saddle Goodtimecrew in the novices’ hurdle. We’d have liked to run her earlier in the season, but she’s not a horse who likes testing ground.
The step up in trip will suit and we’re hoping she will qualify for the EBF Mares’ Final here in March.
Lastly we run Ree Oka in the three-mile handicap hurdle. He drops in grade and I would like to think he will be competitive.
Like everyone else, I’m also looking forward to the clash between El Fabiolo and Jonbon in Saturday’s Clarence House at Ascot.
I don’t mind who wins, as long as they both turn up and knock ten bells out of each other!
That’ll soften them both up and give our Boothill a better chance in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham in March…
